I currently have some openings in my HealthPartners Rapid Access Psychiatry Clinic in Hudson, WI for patients who could benefit from psychiatric consultation and short-term treatment. I have clinic days 4 times a month.
My approach: I’m a board-certified psychiatrist with additional formal training in integrative, metabolic, and functional medicine approaches to psychiatry. I tend to work especially well with people whose mental health doesn't fit neatly into one diagnosis or one treatment approach.
Along with the usual psychiatric assessment, I’m interested in the broader context of symptoms including sleep, medical illness, metabolic health, hormonal/reproductive changes, substance use, trauma, and other physiologic contributors. I am also happy to have in-depth discussions regarding supplements, ketamine, TMS, and other non-medication approaches. Due to the nature of the short-term model, I am not able to offer comprehensive ketogenic diet services but can discuss the nuances of this approach and if you would be a candidate, as well as provide resources.
This can be particularly useful for:
-
diagnostic clarification or second opinion
-
depression or anxiety that hasn't responded as expected
-
bipolar-spectrum or more diagnostically complicated presentations
-
medication review, optimization, or deprescribing
-
women’s mental health, including PMDD, pregnancy/postpartum, and perimenopausal concerns
-
psychiatric symptoms occurring alongside medical illness
-
patients who are engaged in therapy but still feel “stuck”
I try to practice with curiosity and humility rather than assuming every symptom needs another psychiatric diagnosis or medication.
This is an insurance based clinic and Rapid Access is intended for consultation/short term psychiatric care (1-3 visits) rather than long-term specialty integrative treatment.
